Our greeter/host speaks some English and helped to describe some of the preparations. The main menu is in Spanish, but there is an English translation on the back. We sat next to the huge wall mural incorporating as many cartoon characters as you could imagine, along with the two rolled taco characters that comprise the restaurant's logo. Rafael had called ahead and advised the main guy that three gringas were on their way, and we were welcomed warmly and allowed to choose our table. If you look at a map of the area, you will see that is right off the main drag of a street named Palanque. We easily hailed a taxi and for the standard downtown fare of 25 pesos, were deposited outside the large, brightly lit, colorful dining area of Tacos Rigo. We took the bus to the centro and got off by the big grocery store, Chedraui. ![]() Thanks to Rafael, at the front desk in the Royal Cancun, we gave Tacos Rigo a try a week ago during our annual stay. ![]()
